Richi Solaiman makes film debut after years in TV

Popular television actress Richi Solaiman, who has long been a familiar face in Bangladeshi television drama, is set to make her big-screen debut with the film “Robi in Dhaka”. 
Directed by actor and filmmaker Rajib Salehin, the film marks Richi’s first-ever appearance in a feature film. Known for her memorable performances in television dramas, the actress’s transition to cinema has generated interest among her fans, who are eagerly waiting to see her in a new medium. 
Richi confirmed her involvement in the project but remained tight-lipped about further details, including her character.
“Yes, I have acted in ‘Robi in Dhaka’. However, I cannot disclose anything about my character or share further details at this moment. The entire team may announce the details soon, so everyone will have to wait until then,” she said.
Despite spending some time in the United States, where her husband works, Richi mostly stays in Dhaka to look after her two children’s education and manage her business. 
Meanwhile, she continues to receive offers for television dramas. Recently, she acted in Chayanika Chowdhury’s drama “Bhalobasar Onnonom Tumi”, which received a positive response from viewers.
“I still consider myself a professional actress and love being in front of the camera. I feel comfortable acting, and I receive many offers featuring interesting stories and characters. Whenever a script appeals to me, I certainly consider taking it up,” Richi said.
Her fans have often expressed their wish to see her regularly on television, and she hopes to continue acting in quality productions.
Recently, Richi also served as one of three judges on a reality show searching for new acting talents.
