Dhallywood film actor Shariful Razz has become embroiled in a legal dispute over the film “Thikana”, with its producer, Shahreen Akter Sumi, issuing him a legal notice alleging breach of contract and financial losses on Saturday.
The notice demands a response within 48 hours, warning that further legal action will follow if the producer does not receive a satisfactory reply within the stipulated timeframe.
Responding to the notice, Razz said there was confusion over what the production team actually wanted from him; money or shooting dates.
Expressing his frustration, the actor said, “At one point, they talk about money, claiming I haven’t paid; at another, they raise the issue of shooting schedules. What do they actually want? If they want money, they can take it. And if they want dates, I will certainly provide them.
“Now, I will also respond legally. There are several issues regarding discrepancies in the contract. My responsibility is to provide shooting dates and participate in the filming. I cannot work on just one film a year, after all,” he said.
He added that he preferred to concentrate on his professional commitments rather than become involved in disputes.
