Country’s popular model and actress Tanjin Tisha is going through a challenging phase in her career, with legal complications and uncertainty surrounding her much-anticipated silver screen debut. The actress has recently received a legal notice over allegations of publishing photographs without permission, spreading false information and defamation. Supreme Court lawyer Shubhra Sinha Roy issued the notice on Wednesday on behalf of complainant Sanaya Anam Ayafikah Chowdhury. The lawyer confirmed the matter to the media.
According to the notice, the complainant has filed two separate cases against Tisha; one with the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court and another with the Executive Magistrate’s Court. Both cases are currently ongoing.
The notice alleges that on 27 October, Tisha shared objectionable photographs and misleading information about the complainant through her verified Facebook page, “Tanjin Tisha”. It also accuses the actress of providing inaccurate information to the media.
The complainant further alleged that Tisha had threatened her through Facebook Messenger on 7 November 2025, saying if she (complainant) wants to famous, Tisha would publish her photographs.
The notice also refers to a Facebook post in which Tisha allegedly described the complainant and another woman as sisters. However, the complainant maintains that they are not related but are professionally acquainted. She is a fashion designer, while the other woman is an entrepreneur.
Additionally, the notice raises concerns over the publication of photographs of two children without obtaining permission from their families, alleging a violation of the Cyber Security Act, 2023.
The legal notice demands that Tisha remove all photographs and posts concerning the complainant from her Facebook page within two days of receiving it and refrain from publishing such content in future.
Meanwhile, uncertainty continues to surround Tisha’s debut film, “Soldier”, opposite Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan.
The actress signed the project last year with considerable enthusiasm. Shooting began in October last year, accompanied by a promotional video hinting at a December release. However, the release was subsequently postponed to December 2026.
According to industry sources, filming remains incomplete, while allegations of production irregularities have surfaced against the director.
Sources claim that despite repeatedly securing shooting schedules from the cast over the past year, the director has failed to complete the project.
With legal disputes mounting and her debut film facing an uncertain future, Tisha now finds herself navigating a particularly difficult period in her professional journey.
