Sunerah pushes acting boundaries in ‘Ojana Oddhay’

Popular actress Sunerah Binte Kamal has once again stepped into a challenging role in the single-episode drama “Ojana Oddhay”, portraying a young woman struggling with family responsibilities and
difficult life choices.

Known for her versatile performances and unconventional characters, Sunerah continues to explore new dimensions of acting to meet viewers’ growing expectations.

In the drama, she plays Iti, a young woman who single-handedly supports her ailing father and helpless elder sister. Every day, Iti leaves home pretending to go to work, but her family remains unaware of how she actually earns money.

To ensure her family’s financial security, she secretly spends time with wealthy men in exchange for money. Her carefully concealed reality eventually comes to light when her boyfriend discovers the truth. Shocked by the revelation, he struggles to find a way to bring her back to a better life, leading to unexpected developments.

Written and directed by Zahirul Islam Nirab, the drama features actor Arosh Khan opposite Sunerah. The cast also includes Dilruba Hossain Doel, Shahed Ali, Manju Rahman, Ripon, Shafiq and Emon.

The drama was recently released on G-Series’ official YouTube channel.

Talking about her character, Sunerah said she has portrayed diverse roles throughout her career, but Iti stands apart from her previous performances.

She expressed hope that the storyline, characterisation, direction and performances would leave a lasting impression on the audience.

The popular pair Arosh Khan and Sunerah recently earned praise for their performances in “Mayare”. They have also appeared together in several popular dramas, including “Kopal”, “Bhul Naki Prem”, “Na Bola Kotha”, “Signature”, “Poroma Sundori”, “Butterfly Effect” and “Pashan Hridoy”.
