Advance bookings for Nitesh Tiwari's “Ramayana: Rise of a Legend” are gathering pace ahead of its pre-Diwali release. The Hindi version is driving demand, while bookings for the Kannada and Telugu versions are also expanding across the country.

Maharashtra, Delhi and Karnataka are leading advance sales among states, with the National Capital Region, Mumbai and Bengaluru emerging as the strongest major city markets. More shows are expected to open during the final week as exhibitors complete schedules following earlier delays over revenue sharing.

With 12 days remaining before release, the film has collected Rs 10.15 crore in gross advance sales across India in all languages as of 3pm IST on 24 October, according to trade website Sacnilk. Confirmed consumer bookings, excluding seats blocked by exhibitors, stood at Rs 7.98 crore.

About 1.81 lakh tickets had been sold across 4,352 tracked shows in 134 cities. The Hindi version accounted for most of the demand, although sales for the Kannada and Telugu versions continued to grow.

Advance sales added Rs35.90 lakh between 6 am and 3 pm. Bookings also recorded their first housefull show, after an earlier period in which none of the tracked screenings had sold out and substantial ticket inventory remained available.

An update from Sacnilkat 11.42am on 23 October 2026, showed that the film had sold more than 1.47 lakh tickets across 3,964 shows. The total advance gross at the time was Rs 8.27 crore, including blocked seats, and Rs 6.25 crore without them.

During that period, the total gross had risen by 52% from Rs 5.44 crore in the first 24 hours. Collections excluding blocked seats increased by 73% from Rs 3.61 crore, while the value of blocked seats rose from Rs 1.83 crore to Rs 2.02 crore.

As a result, blocked seats declined from about 34% of the initial gross to nearly 24%. Of the Rs 2.83 crore added during the period, nearly 93% came from unblocked ticket purchases.

The number of tracked shows increased by 12% from 3,533 in the first 24 hours. Ticket bookings, including blocked seats, rose by 58% from 92,755, while average sales per show climbed from 26 tickets to 37.

Based on the Valmiki Ramayana, Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The cast also includes Anupam Kher, Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Rakul Preet Singh and Vivek Oberoi. The film is set to release on 5 November.
