US Ambassador Christensen honoured with Ananda Mela Appreciation Award

US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T Christensen was recently presented with the “Ananda Mela Appreciation Award” at a meet-and-greet programme in Los Angeles, US.

The event, organised by the Sheriff’s Advisory Council and sponsored by Ananda Mela, brought together community leaders and members of the Bangladeshi community.

During the programme, the ambassador answered various questions from community leaders in Los Angeles. Zia Shawon hosted the event on behalf of the Sheriff’s Advisory Council.

Talented American-born students from Scenery Tutorial welcomed the ambassador with flowers and engaged in an interactive question-and-answer session. Community leaders also participated in the discussion, which remained free of political issues.

At the conclusion, Ananda Mela Los Angeles presented the ambassador with an appreciation award.

Ananda Mela founder and CEO Khan Mohammad Ali expressed his delight at the occasion.“It was a wonderful experience spending time with the US ambassador and presenting him with the appreciation award. It was truly a memorable occasion for everyone,” he said.
