Popular small-screen actress Naznin Niha has said she is not yet ready to venture into commercial cinema, despite receiving growing appreciation for her performances in television dramas.
The actress recently appeared in the drama “Bhalo Acho To”, directed by Jakaria Showkhin, alongside celebrated actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba.
The drama, released on YouTube, has already received an encouraging response from viewers. Niha has earned praise for her performance, reflecting her growing maturity and versatility as an actress.
Meanwhile, Niha has begun shooting for Muhammad Mostafa Kamal Raz’s YouTube film “Instagram”, where she stars opposite Khairul Basar.
Since beginning her acting career, Niha has frequently faced questions about when she will make her debut in commercial cinema. Responding to the question, the actress said, “I’m not yet ready to work in commercial films. Of course, I will act in films someday, but not right now. I believe I still have a lot to learn and prepare myself for. When the time comes, everyone will know.”
“I’m receiving wonderful responses for the drama ‘Bhalo Acho To’. My drama ‘Moner Moto Mon’, directed by Imraul Rafat, was also released on YouTube recently and received appreciation from the audience. I still feel more comfortable working in dramas. Cinema is a much bigger platform, and I want to prepare myself properly before stepping into it. That is why I’m taking some time”, she added.
Meanwhile, Niha has teamed up with Yash Rohan and Partha Sheikh for the first time in the drama “Tomar Pore Tumi”, directed by Zahidul Islam Sujon. She will portray the character Sara in the production.
Niha made her acting debut in 2023 with “Love Semester”. She also gained popularity through dramas including “Mon Duari”, “Meghbalika”, “Maya Pakhi”, “Chupkotha”, “Kachher Keu”, “Durer Manush”, “Ghran”, “Tokhon Jokhon”, “Jugal” and “Nilanjana”.
