Pori Moni’s ‘Separation’

The much-talked-about Dhallywood actress Pori Moni is reuniting with filmmaker Gias Uddin Selim for a new web film titled “Separation”. The actress considers Selim her mentor and last worked under his direction in the 2022 film “Gunin”.

After a four-year hiatus, the duo is collaborating once again. Shooting for “Separation” has already begun in the capital’s 300 Feet area. However, neither Selim nor Pori Moni has revealed details about the story or the actress’s character, choosing to keep the project under wraps until its official announcement.

According to reports, the cast also includes Imtiaz Barshon and Sharlin Farzana, while actor Nirab Hossain will appear in a special role. The web film is slated for release on the OTT platform iScreen.

Pori Moni was last seen on the big screen in “Feluboxi”, which marked her Tollywood debut in January 2025. Directed by Debraj Sinha, the film also starred Soham Chakraborty and Madhumita Sarcar. 

Meanwhile, Pori Moni has several projects in the pipeline. Her film “Dodor Golpo”, directed by Reza Ghatak and produced with a government grant, is awaiting release.

She has also signed Shamsul Huda’s “Golap” and Leesa Gazi’s “Shasti”. Nirab Hossain will play the male lead opposite her in “Golap”, while Chanchal Chowdhury will co-star with her in “Shasti”.
