After weeks of speculation and widespread discussion on social media, popular Dhallywood actress Shobnom Bubly has officially announced the birth of her daughter with actor Shakib Khan.
The actress confirmed on Friday that she gave birth to a baby girl on 11 May and revealed that the newborn has been named Sharlin Khan. Bubly shared the news through a Facebook post, putting an end to the rumours that had been circulating in recent days.
Although Bubly tagged Shakib Khan in her announcement and informed fans about the arrival of their daughter, the superstar has yet to make any public statement regarding the birth or share a message welcoming the newborn on social media.
For several months, Bubly had remained largely absent from acting projects and public appearances, fueling speculation about her personal life. Rumours had also suggested that she might travel to the United States for childbirth. However, the actress clarified that her daughter was born in Bangladesh.
Speaking to a local media outlet, Bubly said, “Our daughter was born at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. Alhamdulillah, we are both doing well. Everyone please pray for us. I will recover and return to work soon.”
The relationship between Shakib Khan and Bubly first became public in 2022. It was later revealed that the two had married on 20 July 2018. Their first child, a son named Shehzad Khan Bir, was born on 21 March 2020. The couple subsequently introduced their son to the public through social media.
Sharlin Khan is Bubly’s second child and Shakib Khan’s third.
Before his marriage to Bubly, Shakib Khan was married to actress ApuBiswas. The couple tied the knot on 18 April 2008, and welcomed their son, Abraham Khan Joy, on 27 September 2016. Their marriage remained private for more than eight years before Apu publicly disclosed their relationship and introduced their child to the public.
Although Shakib Khan and ApuBiswas later divorced, they are occasionally seen together at family events and public gatherings involving their son.
