Fahmida Nabi duets with Imran for first time in playback

After a long break, renowned singer Fahmida Nabi has once again lent her voice to a film song. More than two years after her last playback, she made her comeback in mid-2024 with a song in the film “Antarbarti”, directed by SM Qayyum. This time, she has recorded another new track for the same movie.

Popular singer Imran Mahmudul has joined Fahmida Nabi as her co-artist in the song, marking the first time the two singers will be heard together.

The song, titled “Tor Rin,” was written by the film’s director SM Qayyum himself. The tune was composed by Rahul Kumar Dutta, with music arranged by Mushfiq Litu. Fahmida Nabi’s vocal recording was completed recently at a studio.

Speaking about the song, Fahmida Nabi said, “This is a sweet love song made with simple, heartfelt words. The work environment and the professionalism of the entire team really impressed me. My first singing experience with Imran was also very good.”

Earlier, Fahmida Nabi had also sung another track titled “Thak Na Durer Hoye” for Antarbarti.

“Antarbarti” is SM Qayyum’s first full-length feature film. The lead roles are played by Ahmed Rubel, Abu Hurayra Tanvir and Nilanjana Nila. Notably, this is the last film acted by the late Ahmed Rubel.

The film is currently in post-production, and the director hopes to release it in theatres across the country later this year.
