Why is Ishita staying away from acting?

Rumana Rashid Ishita remains a popular name among television audiences despite not acting regularly. Her fans at home and abroad continue to hope to see their favourite actress on screen more often. 

However, Ishita has always been selective about her acting projects and does not take on a role unless she finds the script compelling. At present, she is once again waiting for a story and character that can inspire her to return to acting.

Ishita was last seen in Mizanur Rahman Aryan’s drama “Not Out”, which was produced several years ago. Her performance in the play received a positive response from viewers.

Talking about her absence from acting, Ishita said, “I acted in Aryan’s ‘Not Out’ and received a good response for my performance. After that, I received many scripts, but overall, I did not find any of them appealing enough. That is why I have not been seen acting in the past few years. If I get a good script, I will definitely act. Why not? I want to act, but how can I do so without a good story and an interesting character?”

Ishita has also established herself as a playwright, earning praise for her work beyond acting. She has further explored music as a singer, releasing several original songs that have also been appreciated by audiences.
