What began as a simple dream of standing in front of a camera has gradually evolved into a multifaceted career for Hasna Akter Sraboni, better known as Sraboni Samba. From creating short videos during the 2022 FIFA World Cup to working in music videos and television dramas, she has now also stepped into entrepreneurship.

Born and raised in Chatkhil, Noakhali, Sraboni entered the world of content creation without the backing of a major production house or an established media platform. With little more than a smartphone and a passion for storytelling, she began experimenting with different forms of digital content.

Her journey took a significant turn during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, when she started producing short videos regularly. One of her early videos unexpectedly went viral, bringing her a wave of positive responses and encouraging her to take content creation more seriously.

“That moment became a turning point in my life. I started receiving love and appreciation from people, and my family also supported me. That was when I felt—perhaps this is the path I am meant to follow,” she said.

At 21, Sraboni formally stepped into the media industry. She began with blogging and TikTok before gradually finding opportunities in music videos and television dramas. Among her early projects was Tumi Amar Hoia Thaiko. She later reached a wider audience through Lojjaboti Kemne Bojhaye Koto Bhalobashi, a song that has crossed two million views.

To date, she has appeared in more than seven music videos and over four television dramas. For Sraboni, however, social media has never been limited to gaining popularity. She sees it as a platform to explore different creative and professional opportunities.

Her growing digital presence also opened doors to commercial collaborations. She has worked with several leading brands, including Vivo Bangladesh, Xiaomi and OPPO, on promotional and collaborative projects. Her journey demonstrates how a strong personal presence on digital platforms can create opportunities beyond traditional entertainment.

Now, Sraboni is exploring another side of her career—entrepreneurship.

Together with her husband, who is also a content creator, she founded Samba Elite Beauty Lounge. The venture marks an important step in her ambition to build something of her own beyond her work in front of the camera.

“I am now a content creator, influencer and entrepreneur. As the founder of Samba Elite Beauty Lounge, I have been able to fulfill one of my dreams,” she said.

The connection she has built with her audience remains one of her biggest sources of motivation. She said the recognition and affection she receives from people, both online and when travelling, inspire her to continue pursuing new goals.

Social media has also played a personal role in her life. It was through the digital space that she met her husband, who shares a similar professional background. Their relationship, she said, has grown through mutual respect, support and an understanding of the demands of working in the creator economy.

Looking ahead, Sraboni wants to take on more meaningful projects in the entertainment industry while expanding her entrepreneurial activities. She also hopes to work on larger projects and explore new opportunities as her career develops.

“I believe these achievements are not mine alone. They are the result of your love, my hard work and the blessings of Allah,” she said.

Sraboni’s journey reflects Bangladesh’s evolving creator economy, where social media is opening new doors for young talents. What started with a smartphone and a childhood dream has taken her into content creation, music videos, television dramas, brand collaborations and entrepreneurship.

And for Sraboni Samba, the journey is far from over.
