Switzerland reaffirms commitment to safe migration, migrant protection

The Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting safe migration and protecting migrant workers at the inauguration of the Bangladesh Parliamentary Caucus on Migration, Rights and Development.

Speaking at the event on Wednesday, Diepak Elmer, Deputy Head of Mission and Head of Cooperation at the Swiss Embassy, expressed hope that the caucus would translate dialogue into concrete action through stronger parliamentary oversight, accountability and effective policies.

He said such initiatives should deliver tangible improvements in the lives of migrant workers and their families.
