PM’s Japan tour will take ties to new heights: Adviser Swapon

Prime Minister’s Political Adviser Zahir Uddin Swapon has expressed confidence that the premier’s visit to Japan will elevate relations between the two countries to a higher level.

He expressed this optimism during a meeting with a visiting Japanese delegation at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon on Saturday evening.

A Japanese delegation is currently in Dhaka to explore opportunities for Bangladesh-Japan trade and business ahead of the PM’s visit to Japan. The delegation has been meeting with various government and private-sector representatives to exchange views on issues of mutual interest to both countries.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is scheduled to visit Japan on 26 October for a three-day state visit.
