India sent two invitations to PM Tarique: Jaiswal

Indian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal on Tuesday said New Delhi had invited Prime Minister Tarique Rahman for a bilateral visit before extending a separate invitation to attend the BRICS summit.

"So, he was sent two invitations – one for a bilateral visit and another for the BRICS summit," he said at a briefing in New Delhi.

Meanwhile, asked whether India had sent a request to Bangladesh to import hilsa fish, Jaiswal said, "I don't have an update."
