Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh on Tuesday hosted the
pre-departure reception for the participants of the “2026 Training Program for
Bangladeshi Diplomats in China.”
Yao Wen, Ambassador of China to Bangladesh; M Forhadul
Islam, secretary of Intergovernmental Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs of Bangladesh; Muhammad Abdul Muhith, rector of the Foreign Service
Academy, all the trainees about to depart for the training in China and
diplomats of the Embassy were present at the event.
Ambassador Yao noted that China-Bangladesh relations now
stand at a new historical starting point, and that young diplomats represent
the future of the friendship between the two countries.
He expressed the hope that the Bangladeshi trainees would
make their journey to China one of ideas, practice, and dialogue. They would
work to translate what they see, hear and learn during their tour into concrete
actions to promote China-Bangladesh friendship, Yao Wen hoped.
Forhadul Islam thanked the Chinese side for its thoughtful
organization of the training, noting that the training program in China for
young diplomats has become a flagship project of diplomatic cooperation between
Bangladesh and China. He expressed confidence that, through this visit, the
trainees will further deepen their understanding of China's development path
and foreign policy philosophy, and contribute to the growth of Bangladesh-China
relations.
