British high commissioner pays courtesy call on Army chief

A delegation led by British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman at the Army Headquarters in Dhaka on Thursday.

According to a post published on the official Facebook page of the Bangladesh Army, the meeting included an exchange of greetings and discussions on the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom, bilateral cooperation and different issues of mutual interest.

During the meeting, the British High Commissioner also appreciated the role of the Armed Forces in maintaining law and order in the country.
