Bangladesh, Russia hold military cooperation talks

Bangladesh and Russia held high-level consultations on military and technical cooperation yesterday (31 March).

Russian Ambassador to Bangladesh Alexander Khozin and Military, Air and Naval Attaché Colonel Pavel Ivashinnikov held the consultations with Lieutenant General Mir Mushfiqur Rahman, Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division of Bangladesh.

The talks focused on current and prospective areas of bilateral military cooperation, with particular emphasis on expanding the legal framework to strengthen defence collaboration between the two countries.

Officials from both sides highlighted the importance of fostering closer ties and enhancing mutual understanding in defence and security matters.
