Bangladesh mission in Pretoria holds Quran khatam, doa mahfil for Khaleda Zia

The Bangladesh High Commission in Pretoria organised a Holy Quran recitation, Khatam-e-Quran and doa mahfil at the Chancery on Friday (2 January), seeking eternal peace and forgiveness for the departed soul of former prime minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

Members of the Bangladeshi expatriate community, including journalists, businessmen and other professionals, attended the programme in large numbers.

Following the Asr prayer, a special doa was offered seeking forgiveness for the departed soul and peace and prosperity for Bangladesh.

On the occasion, a condolence book was opened at the High Commission for signing by members of the diplomatic corps. The condolence book remained open on 5 and 6 January from 9am to 4pm.
