Khaleda Zia’s contribution to improving India–Bangladesh relations will be remembered forever: Rajnath Singh

Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has visited the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi and expressed his condolences on the death of former Bangladesh prime minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, reports ANI.

During his visit, Rajnath Singh met the Bangladesh High Commissioner and other officials and signed the condolence book, paying tribute to the late leader.

Begum Khaleda Zia passed away in the early hours of Tuesday (30 December) while receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital. She was laid to rest with state honours beside the grave of martyred President Ziaur Rahman following her namaz-e-janaza on Wednesday (31 December).
