Indian foreign minister meets Asif Nazrul, Khalilur Rahman

Law Adviser Asif Nazrul and National Security Adviser Khalilur Rahman held courtesy meetings with a number of foreign government representatives at the National Parliament in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Indian Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Pakistan Parliament Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Nepal Foreign Minister Lt Gen (retd) Bala Nanda Sharma, and Bhutan Foreign Minister Lyonpo DN Dhungyel paid courtesy call on Asif Nazrul and Khalilur Rahman, the Chief Adviser's Press Wing said in a statement

The foreign dignitaries had arrived at the Parliament to pay their final tributes to former three-time prime minister and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia ahead of her burial, the statement added.

Asif Nazrul and Khalilur Rahman expressed gratitude to the South Asian government officials for voicing solidarity with the people of Bangladesh at their time of grief, and for gracing the country with their presence, the statement read.
