Bhutanese Embassy expresses condolences over death of Khaleda Zia

The Royal Bhutanese Embassy in Dhaka has expressed heartfelt condolences following the death of former prime minister of Bangladesh and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

In a condolence message posted on its official Facebook page today, the embassy said it was deeply saddened by the passing of Begum Khaleda Zia and extended its sympathies to her family and the people of Bangladesh.

“The Royal Bhutanese Embassy would like to extend our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Begum Khaleda Zia, former Prime Minister of Bangladesh and the Chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and the people of Bangladesh,” the message read.

Begum Khaleda Zia’s death has prompted an outpouring of grief and messages of condolence from governments, diplomatic missions and international leaders, reflecting her stature as a veteran political leader and her role in Bangladesh’s democratic journey.
