Keramat Moula is a revered name in Bangladesh’s theatre scene. His talent has not only captivated stage audience, but also touched hearts through television dramas, radio plays, and films.

Remarkably, the veteran actor has been performing in the same stage production for an astounding 45 years. The play, titled “Payer Awaj Pawa Jay”, is produced by Theatre and written by Syed Shamsul Haq. This poetic gem, based on Bangladesh’s Liberation War, was first staged in 1976. A few years later, audience experienced it anew under the direction of Abdullah Al Mamun and Keramat Moula has been a part of it ever since.

Speaking about his deep bond with the production, Keramat Moula said, “The play has merged with my soul. I have grown old, so now I only act in this play, even if it is staged once or twice a year.”

But this is just one chapter of his illustrious journey. The stage maestro has performed in numerous other iconic productions, including “Tasher Desh”, “Raja o Rani”, “Rokto Kobori”, “Biborton”, “Bindu Bindu Rong”, “Dakghor”, “Oedipus”, “Prachhodpot”, “Onek Tarar Hatchhani”, “Lal Lonthon”, “Buro Shaliker Gharre Ro”, “Charidike Juddho”, “Othello”, “Senapoti”, “Mohapurush” and many more.

Beyond theatre, Keramat Moula’s exceptional artistry has also graced countless television plays and films, making him one of the country’s most enduring and admired performers.
