Following the recent hospitalisations of veteran actors Dharmendra and Prem Chopra, Bollywood star Govinda was admitted to Criticare Asia Multispeciality Hospital early Wednesday after suddenly collapsing at his Juhu residence in Mumbai.
The news of Govinda’s hospitalisation comes one day after he was seen visiting Bollywood veteran Dharmendra at the Breach Candy hospital. As of now, the 89-year-old has been discharged to receive treatment at home, his family shared on Wednesday.
Confirming the reports, Govinda’s legal advisor Lalit Bindal told, “Govinda started feeling unwell and soon lost consciousness. He was given medicine after consulting a doctor and was admitted to the hospital in emergency at 1 am. He has undergone several tests and is now awaiting the reports. At present, Govindaji is stable.”
This marks the second time in a year that the actor has been hospitalised. In October last year, Govinda suffered an accidental gunshot wound while cleaning his revolver at home. He was treated at a Juhu hospital for three days before being discharged.
Nearly a year later, the actor once again faces a health setback. As news of his hospitalisation spread on Wednesday morning, fans across India took to social media to express concern and pray for the actor’s speedy
recovery.
