The 74th edition of the world’s most prestigious beauty pageant, Miss Universe, has become even more special for Bangladesh this year. Model and actress Tangia Zaman Methila, who was crowned Miss Universe Bangladesh 2025 last September, has crossed national borders to step onto the glittering stage in Thailand.

Now, Methila is not just a contestant—she stands as a symbol of pride for Bangladesh, ready to showcase to the world the unique charm, confidence, and strength of Bengali women.

Currently, the event is in its preparation and grooming phase, along with crucial voting rounds. Competing against participants from 121 countries, Methila has already made a mark by securing fifth position globally in the Miss Universe voting phase with 73,000 votes.

Sharing her heartfelt emotions on social media, Methila wrote, “I’m crying, honestly I don’t know what to say. With your invaluable 73,000 votes, we are now number 5 in the world. I don’t know how to thank
you all.”

“I love you all very much. This time we all have to work together to bring the crown to Bangladesh. Bangladesh is unstoppable”, she added.

The grand finale of the 74th Miss Universe will be held on 21 November in Pak Kret, a central city of Thailand.
