The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has raised the price of Jet A-1 aviation fuel for domestic flights by Tk6.32 per litre, setting the November rate at Tk189.03 including customs duty and value-added tax (VAT).
In October, the price was Tk182.71 per litre.
In a notification issued on Thursday, BERC said the new rate would take effect from midnight on 5 November and remain in force until further notice.
However, the price of aviation fuel for international flights has been reduced. The rate for both domestic and foreign airlines operating international flights has been cut from US$1.1882 to $1.1637 per litre, excluding customs duty and VAT.
BERC said the latest adjustment was based on the average international Platts rates for Jet A-1 during the period from 5 October to 4 November 2026.
The commission also considered the US dollar exchange rate applied by the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) for settling letters of credit (LCs) related to fuel imports.
The monthly price adjustment is carried out in line with international market movements and changes in import-related costs, according to the commission.
