Palli Sanchay Bank deposits Tk600m in dividends into govt treasury

Palli Sanchay Bank has deposited Tk600 million in dividends declared in favour of the government into the government treasury. 

The cheque, representing dividends declared up to the fiscal year 2023–24, was formally handed over to Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Sunday, according to a press release.

In the presence of Financial Institutions Division Secretary Nazma Mobarek, Palli Sanchay Bank Board of Directors’ Chairman AKM Jahangir and Managing Director Salma Banu handed over the cheque to the finance minister.

Among those present at the event were Nure Alam Talukdar, director; Md Golam Mortuza, deputy managing director; ABM Zahid Hossain and Md Ala Uddin, general managers; Muhammad Ali, board secretary and senior principal officer; Sukanta Kumar Ghosh, senior principal officer; and SM Shaiful Islam, public relations officer and senior officer of Palli Sanchay Bank.
