A total of 30 Bangladeshi companies representing sectors, including readymade garments (RMG), agriculture, leather and footwear, will participate in the Spain Bangladesh Expo 2026, scheduled to take place in Seville, Spain, on Monday.
The international trade exhibition aims to strengthen bilateral trade relations, attract investment, expand industrial and technological cooperation, and foster long-term economic partnerships between Bangladesh and Spain.
The Spain Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SBCCI) is co-organising the exhibition under the theme “Stronger Partnership, Shared Prosperity,” according to a statement issued on Saturday.
The event is expected to bring together senior government officials, business leaders, investors and entrepreneurs from both countries to explore new trade and investment opportunities.
Among those expected to attend are Government of Andalusia Vice President Antonio Sanz Cabello, Confederation of Business Owners of Seville President Miguel Rus, Bangladesh's State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam, Bangladesh Ambassador to Spain Masudur Rahman, Director General (West Europe and EU) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Md Mosharaf Hossain and Director and Private Secretary to the State Minister Shamima Yasmin Smriti.
The exhibition will showcase opportunities across a wide range of sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, ports and logistics, industrial automation, water management, men's fashion, halal standards, chemicals, food processing, furniture, distribution and retail.
The daylong exhibition will be held at Hotel Sevilla Center in Seville from 9am to 5pm on Monday.
Alongside the exhibition, an eight-day international business delegation programme is being held from 22 to 29 October, covering Madrid, Seville and Malaga.
The programme will allow Bangladeshi entrepreneurs to engage directly with Spanish investors, business leaders, industrial organisations and representatives of chambers of commerce in major commercial hubs.
Business-to-business meetings are also planned with members of Malaga's chambers of commerce to explore potential partnerships in trade, investment and industrial cooperation.
The engagements are expected to help Bangladeshi businesses establish connections with Spanish importers, distributors, industrial organisations and potential investors, paving the way for stronger commercial ties between the two countries.
