Prime Minister’s Adviser Mahdi Amin has said the preliminary activities of the nationwide employment exchange programme will begin in December to increase jobs.
Speaking at a press briefing at the meeting room of
labour and employment ministry at the secretariat on Sunday, Mahdi said the
initiative is being taken for the young generation as per BNP’s election
manifesto.

empowerment and nurturing of talent of the youth. The preliminary activities of
the exchange will begin in Dhaka in December to harness the large demographic
dividend of the country,” Mahdi added.
During the briefing, Mahdi said the programme will
be spread to divisional and district levels later.
Speaking about the programme, Mahdi further said, “The
aim of the exchange is to connect the demand and the supply of the labour
market at a single place. The government’s main goal is to transform the youth
into skilled manpower and connecting the youth, including those outside the
mainstream, with the labour market directly.”
