Gold prices fall again, 22-carat now Tk221,966 per bhori

Today's Gold prices have been reduced again in the domestic market, with the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) lowering the price of 22-carat gold by Tk3,324 per bhori.

As per today's gold price update, the price of 22-carat gold now stands at Tk221,966 per bhori, including VAT. The revised rates came into effect from 10:00am today.

BAJUS said the decision was taken at a meeting of its Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring after a decline in the price of pure gold (tejabi gold) in the local market.

A notification signed by Dr Dewan Aminul Islam Shaheen, chairman of the committee, confirmed the new prices.

The latest cut comes just a day after BAJUS reduced the price of 22-carat gold by Tk3,266 per bhori on 29 June. As a result, the price of the precious metal has fallen by a total of Tk6,590 per bhori within 24 hours.

BAJUS said the latest adjustment reflects changes in domestic market prices for raw gold and will remain effective until further notice.
