The four-day “REHAB Fair 2025,” organised by the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB), will begin in Dhaka on Wednesday, (24 Dec) and continue until Saturday (27 Dec).

The fair will be held at the China Friendship Conference Center (CFCC) in Agargaon, the organisers said.

REHAB President Md Wahiduzzaman announced the details at a press conference held at the CIRDAP auditorium on Monday.

He said a total of 220 stalls will be set up at this year’s fair.

The event will feature four diamond sponsors, seven gold sponsors, 10 co-sponsors, 14 building materials companies and 12 financial institutions.

The diamond sponsors of REHAB Fair 2025 are Asian Town Development Ltd, Eastern Housing Ltd, Sheltech Ltd and Tropical Homes Ltd.

The gold sponsors include Asian Lands Development Ltd, Credence Housing Ltd, Navana Real Estate Ltd, Purbachal Probashi Palli Ltd, RANCON Real Estate Ltd, Rangs Properties Ltd and NorthSouth Consortium Ltd.

Ten companies are participating as co-sponsors. These are Anwar Landmark Ltd, Assure Development and Design Ltd, Comprehensive Holdings Ltd, Cube Holding Ltd, Onward Development Ltd, Platinum Holdings Ltd, Sena Kalyan Constructions and Developments Ltd, The Structural Engineers Ltd, Subarna Bhumi Housing Ltd and TM Asset Ltd.

Md Wahiduzzaman said RAJUK Chairman Md Riazul Islam has agreed to attend the inaugural session as the chief guest, while National Housing Authority (NHA) Chairman Mosammat Ferdousi Begum will be present as a special guest.

The inaugural session will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday at the Hall of Fame of the China Friendship Conference Center.

Visitors will be allowed to enter the fair after the inaugural session on the first day. On the remaining days, the fair will remain open from 10:00am to 9:00pm.

As in previous years, there will be two types of entry tickets—single-entry and multiple-entry. The single-entry ticket will cost Tk50, while the multiple-entry ticket will cost Tk100, allowing entry up to five times during the fair.

The entire proceeds from ticket sales will be spent on corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities for the underprivileged.

Each ticket will also be eligible for daily raffle draws with attractive prizes, to be held every night at 9:00pm throughout the fair.

Free refreshments will be provided with each ticket.

Highlighting the importance of the housing sector, the REHAB president said the construction industry contributes significantly to the national economy, accounting for nearly 15% of overall economic growth.

The sector supports more than 200 linkage industries, including steel, cement and tiles, and provides livelihoods for over two crore people, including more than 50 lakh workers.

He added that income generated from the housing sector is reinvested in other productive sectors of the economy, although the sector had faced stagnation in the past due to the Detailed Area Plan (DAP).

REHAB has been organising housing fairs in Dhaka since 2001, making this the 27th fair in the capital.

The association has also successfully organized 16 fairs in Chattogram.

Since 2004, REHAB has been arranging housing fairs abroad, including 12 in the United States and fairs in the UK, Dubai, Rome, Canada, Sydney and Qatar, with two fairs held in Dubai.

Through these initiatives, REHAB continues to promote the housing industry at home and abroad, attract expatriate buyers, and earn foreign currency while contributing to the growth of the housing and linkage industries in Bangladesh.
