BB executive director Amzad Hossain Khan promoted

Bangladesh Bank’s Motijheel Office Executive Director Md Amzad Hossain Khan has been promoted to Executive Director (Grade-1).
He received the promotion following approval from the authorities on Monday (1 December).
Hailing from Khulna, Amzad Hossain Khan joined Bangladesh Bank in 1993 as an assistant director. He completed his graduation from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Rajshahi University and later earned master’s degrees in political science and economics from the National University.
He successfully completed JAIIB and DAIIB from the Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh (IBB), where he also served as a regular examiner.
During his tenure at the Motijheel Office, he played a significant role in operational issues and environmental improvement, in addition to making notable contributions to resolving inter-office and organisational complexities. Over the course of his career, he served at the Khulna and Barishal offices, the Bank Inspection Department, Foreign Exchange Policy Department, SME and Special Programmes Department, Agricultural Credit Department, Banking Department, Legal Department, and as project director of the JICA-assisted SMAP project implemented by the Financial Institutions Division of the Finance Ministry.
He also served with distinction as member secretary of the steering committee of the Housing Fund run under the Office of the Chief Adviser, during which Bangladesh Bank operated the programme. Alongside this, he is currently serving as an observer of state-owned Agrani Bank PLC.
As part of his professional responsibilities, he visited Thailand, Spain, Japan, Nepal and Indonesia. He is a Rotarian Paul Harris Fellow (PHF).
He is also associated as an adviser to Shondhani Donor Club and is a life member of Khulna Metropolitan Shooting Club, Dhaka Officers Club and Bangladesh Economic Association.
Amzad Hossain Khan is further involved with different social organisations, including Madhusudan Debate Federation in Jashore.
