Bangladesh-based retail technology company PriyoShop has been named among the 2026 Meaningful Business 100 (MB100), a global list recognising businesses that combine commercial success with social impact.
The company was recognised for its contribution to two UN Sustainable Development Goals: decent work and economic growth, and industry, innovation and infrastructure.
PriyoShop connects traditional retailers with brands, suppliers, financial institutions and distribution networks through a technology-based platform offering product distribution and access to financing.
The 2026 MB100 list was selected from more than 900 nominations across over 30 countries. Now in its eighth year, the initiative recognises business leaders making contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals, based on equity, impact, innovation, leadership and scalability.
PriyoShop aims to serve more than five million traditional retailers in Bangladesh and expand into other emerging markets, according to a press release.
“This recognition reinforces our belief that solving underserved market challenges can create both economic value and lasting social impact,” said Asikul Alam Khan, founder and chief executive officer of PriyoShop.
The recognition also highlights the role of technology in addressing challenges faced by small retailers, particularly access to working capital, reliable supplies and efficient distribution.
