German envoy visits AKIJ Resource factories

German Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Rüdiger Lotz visited AKIJ Cement Company Limited and AKIJ Essentials Limited in Narayanganj on Tuesday to explore opportunities for bilateral trade and industrial cooperation.
The delegation reviewed the factories’ production capacity, technology, quality standards, resource efficiency and environmental practices, according to a press release.
Mohammad Towfique Hasan, chief business development officer of AKIJ Resource, and Asadul Haque Sufyani, cluster chief executive officer of AKIJ Building Solutions, joined discussions on industrial development, technology adoption and sustainable manufacturing.
Other officials present included AKIJ Resource Deputy Chief Operating Officer Sohanur Rahman Sohan, Chief Financial Officer Md Mustaq Ahmed and representatives from the two factories and related business units.
