Krishi Bank promotes Rowshanul Hoque to DMD

Abu Sayeed Md Rowshanul Hoque has joined Bangladesh Krishi Bank as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) following his promotion under a notification issued by the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance on 8 October.
With more than 28 years of banking experience, Hoque previously served as General Manager at the bank’s head office, overseeing three divisions, and as Chief Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (CAMLCO).
He began his career at Janata Bank in 1998, later served as an Assistant Director at Bangladesh Bank, and held various positions at Prime Bank PLC and BASIC Bank PLC. During his 21 years at BASIC Bank, he served as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Risk Officer, Innovation Officer and Principal of its Training Institute, alongside other management roles, according to a press release.
He holds BSc (Honours) and MSc degrees in Statistics from Jahangirnagar University and is pursuing a PhD in Data Science and Machine Learning at the university’s Institute of Business Administration. 
He also holds the DAIBB banking diploma and a CCNA certification, with additional training in data science, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
Hoque has visited more than 15 countries to gain exposure to social banking, agricultural finance and small and medium enterprise development.
