7th AGM of Surjer Hashi Network held

The 7th annual general meeting (AGM) of Surjer Hashi Network (SHN), a non-profit organisation, was held recently at the organisation’s head office.
Speaking at the meeting, Shaila Purvin, chief executive officer of the organisation, said that FY 2024–25 marked an important milestone for Surjer Hashi, describing it as a “comeback year”.
She stated that after donor grants had ceased about two and a half years ago, the management team, with firm support from the Board, worked with two clear objectives.
At the AGM, the organisation’s significant achievements and sustainable progress in FY 2024–25 were highlighted. 
According to a press release, despite the withdrawal of donor support, the imposition of new VAT, an increased tax burden, and risks associated with operating from temporary facilities, the organisation has been able to establish itself on a strong financial and institutional footing.
