Delta Life Sciences, a sister concern of Delta Pharma Limited, plans to set up state-of-the-art production facilities that meet international standards by leveraging advanced technology and innovative approaches.
The project includes an investment of approximately $30 million and is expected to generate around 700 direct employment opportunities.
The planned specialised pharmaceutical facilities will cater to rising domestic and global demand, contributing significantly to both the national economy and the country’s healthcare sector. BEZA Executive Chairman, Ashik Chowdhury, congratulated Delta Life Sciences, noting that the National Special Economic Zone offers a unique opportunity for investors. He highlighted that this investment will diversify pharmaceutical production and play a vital role in job creation, export growth, and strengthening the healthcare sector. Managing director of Delta Life Sciences PLC expressed confidence that the modern production setup at the NSEZ will enable the company to meet local demand and supply competitive products to international markets.
He added that the company aims to begin producing oral solid and oncology medicines within the next three years.
The NSEZ, stretching 25 kilometers along the coastline, is recognised as the largest planned industrial zone in Bangladesh. Designed as an integrated industrial and urban area, it currently hosts around 17 operational industrial units, with another 28 units under construction.
