Human chain formed to prevent dengue in Narayanganj

Bashundhara Shuvosangho has formed a human chain in Narayanganj to make people aware of the ongoing dengue crisis.

The event was held by Shuvosangho’s Narayanganj district unit in the city’s Chashara area on Saturday morning, which emphasised keeping houses, courtyards and nearby environment clean besides personal awareness.

The organisation’s members presented various awareness-raising messages to prevent dengue during the event. The banner of the event said everyone has roles to play to prevent dengue, and urged people to create a dengue-free Bangladesh through raising awareness.

During the event, priority was given to keeping houses and nearby areas clean to prevent the breeding of dengue. Shuvosangho members advised the people to remain alert so that water does not accumulate anywhere.

Specially, calls were made to regularly clean the accumulated water from flower tubs, abandoned pots, old tyres and other places.

Besides, Shuvosangho members advised the people to use mosquito nets even during daytime to remain safe from mosquito bites and take necessary steps like using approved creams and lotions to kill the mosquitos.
