Monpura on Wednesday. The Monpura upazila unit of Bashundhara Shuvosangho
organised the programme.
The discussion also focused on addiction to social media,
its impact on studies, sleep disruption, harmful effects on physical and mental
health, and the use of technology for education and skill development.

Speaking at the meeting, Abdul Khaleque Selim Molla said
mobile phones and digital technology are important means of education,
information and communication in the present era. However, excessive use of
these can negatively affect young people's studies, normal lifestyles and
social interactions.
He urged young people to maintain a balance between the mobile
phone use for learning processes and for other needs.
Monpura upazila unit Shuvosangho President Md Abdur Rahman
Shoaib said, “The younger generation is the future of the country. So, it is
important to utilise their talent, time and creativity in the right direction.
Rather than completely avoiding mobile phones and the internet, it is important
to ensure their positive use.”
“Teachers and society as a whole should play a responsible
role in raising awareness among students,” he added.
