Imdadul Haq Milan gifts books to GUK Residential Model School students

Renowned Bangladeshi novelist and Bashundhara Group adviser Imdadul Haq Milan has gifted a book to every student of GUK Residential Model School and College, along with a complete collection of his works for the institution’s library.

The books were formally handed over to the school’s founder and chairman, M Abdus Salam, at the Bashundhara Shuvosangho office in Bashundhara Residential Area in Dhaka on Saturday (8 August).

Bashundhara Shuvosangho director Zakaria Zaman and media manager of Gana Unnayan Kendra (GUK) Mahfuz Faruk were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Milan said books broaden people’s horizons, enrich their imagination and play an important role in developing human values.

“I hope these books will encourage students to read regularly and help them advance further in the world of knowledge and creativity,” he said.

M Abdus Salam expressed his gratitude to Milan for the initiative.

“Giving a good book to a student means opening a new door to knowledge, thought and possibilities. This gift from Imdadul Haq Milan will inspire our students to take a greater interest in reading,” he said.

He added that receiving books written by a distinguished literary figure himself would be a memorable experience for the students and would help develop their reading habits while fostering greater interest in literature and culture.

The GUK Residential Model School and College family wished Milan good health, longevity and continued success in his literary pursuits.

The institution also expressed its deep gratitude to Bashundhara Shuvosangho and Milan for the student-friendly initiative and valuable gift.
