A sewing training centre has been inaugurated at the Wagoy Para Library building in Rowangchhari upazila of Bandarban through an initiative of the upazila unit Bashundhara Shuvosangho.

Members of the organisation expressed hope that the initiative will enhance local women’s skills, create self-employment opportunities and help them become economically self-reliant.

A total of 20 women have enrolled in the sewing training centre.

The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Rowangchhari upazila unit Shuvosangho President Shimol Tanchangya.
