Bashundhara Shuvosangho organised a colourful new year celebration
programme at Eden Mohila College in the capital on Wednesday, a day after the
start of Bangla New Year.
The campus wore a festive look at the start of the day with
different cultural presentations – song, dance, and poetry recitations – adding
to the vibes. There were also sessions for rural games like pillow passing to
highlight the significance of traditional culture.
At one point during the celebration programme, Shuvosangho Eden
Mohila College President Faria Haque Tajim took to the stage. She said, “A new
year means new dreams and opportunities. May the first month of Bangla New
Year, Baishakh, bring messages of happiness and success for all of us.
“We have organised this New Year festival to uphold our
traditional culture, so that the students can freshly recognise their roots
through pleasurable moments.”
From Shuvosangho’s college unit also present were Tasnova
Tushin, Chumki Khatun, Shahida Khatun, Sumaiya Suha and others.
