Bashundhara Shuvosangho organised a street play on the
premises of Swapnakali School near Natore Railway Station on Thursday, marking
the Independence and National Day.
The street play, performed by the school’s children, was an
awareness raising production aimed at developing patriotism among the young
generation, and teaching them the history and significance of the Great
Liberation War of 1971.
Shuvosangho Natore District Unit President Md Mostafizur
Rahman Soikot said, “This type of street dramas play an important role in
fostering patriotism and social awareness among children. We want them to learn
about the country’s history and values from an early age and to uphold those
ideals.”
The district unit’s General Secretary Sushmoy Das Tonoy
said, “Such participatory programmes involving children help boost their
confidence and make them socially aware. There are plans to organise more such
activities on a larger scale in the future.”
