The gathering was held at the Government Shaheed Smriti Adarsha Degree College, Nandail upazila, Mymensingh on Sunday.

At the beginning, a brief discussion was held on the significance of Ramadan, the lessons of self-restraint and the importance of self-purification. The event was presided over by the Shuvosangho Nandail Upazila unit president, Shubha Dutta, and moderated by general secretary Mustafizur Rahman Bijoy.

Among those present were vice-presidents Istiak Hasan Nasim and Arif Rabbani, office secretary Sadnan Sadi, organising secretary Ariful Haque Saurav, finance secretary Tapu Akand, and hospitality secretary Abhi Dutta.

General secretary Mustafizur Rahman Bijoy said, “Fasting is not merely abstaining from food and drink; rather, a believer can attain true taqwa through restraint of the eyes, ears, tongue and heart. The essence of Ramadan lies in self-purification, empathy and self-control.”

President Shubha Dutta said, “The iftar gathering was not limited to observing a religious obligation; it was a unique initiative to strengthen mutual goodwill, harmony, fraternity and social bonds.”
