Bashundhara Shuvosangho Gazipur district unit organised a day of traditional games, prize distribution and food sharing with underprivileged children in the Purba Chandana Abur Basti area of Gazipur City Corporation.
The programme aimed to spread the core message of Love Day—humanity, empathy and standing by one another—by creating a joyful and inclusive environment for children who rarely get such opportunities. The event turned into a memorable day of play, laughter and togetherness.
Around 50 children joined the programme and took part in a range of popular village games, including cock-fight-style play, blind man’s buff, jole danga, chacha apon pran bacha and pillow games. The area buzzed with excitement as children laughed and cheered throughout the activities. After the games, organisers distributed food among the participants, adding to their happiness.

Child participant Ahad said, “I played a lot today and had so much fun. We were all together, and I felt very happy to receive a prize.”
Another child, Sabbir, said, “We never played together like this before. I really liked today.”
Speaking at the event, Md Imran Hossain, president of Bashundhara Shuvosangho Gazipur district unit, said true love goes beyond flowers and gifts. “Real love means standing beside neglected and underprivileged children and bringing smiles to their faces. Through this programme, we tried to share that love with them,” he said.
General Secretary Tanvir Ahmed said play plays a vital role in children’s mental development. “We organised this programme so underprivileged children can also experience a joyful childhood. Spending time with them made us happy as well,” he said.
After the games, organisers distributed prizes among participating children, including Bonolota, Sadia, Maria, Mariam, Ahad, Rima, Sabbir, Mosharaf and Yasin.
Members of Bashundhara Shuvosangho, including Tanzina Islam Jarin, Eva Khandakar, Rakibul Islam Arif, Jahirul Islam, Abu Bakkar, Siam Ahmed, Aminul Islam Joy, Sumaiya Shimu, Shakil Ahmed and Turin Sabrin, assisted in implementing the programme.
Organisers said the group will continue similar humanitarian and joyful social activities for underprivileged children in the future.
