Bashundhara Shuvosangho in Rajbari’s Kalukhali upazila has organised a quiz competition and discussion marking the victory month.

The programme took place on the premises of Kalukhali Mohila College.

Sirajum Monira Tumpa, vice-president of the Bashundhara Shuvosangho Kalukhali upazila unit, presided over the event. The unit’s chief adviser and principal of Kalukhali Mohila College, Sikder Momtaz Ahmed, was present as the chief guest.

The programme was conducted by the unit’s general secretary, Lecturer Md Rakib Uddin Khan Mamun. Among others, Jahangir Hossain, Rajbari correspondent of the daily Kaler Kantho; lecturer Nafiza Shirin; lecturer Md Abdur Razzak; and Shuvosangho well-wisher Prosenjit Saha spoke at the event.

More than 50 students from Kalukhali Government College and Kalukhali Mohila College took part in the quiz competition. Prizes were later handed over to the first, second, and third-place winners.

Principal Sikder Momtaz Ahmed said, “Victory Month is a symbol of our pride and dignity. Such initiatives play an important role in educating the new generation about the true history of the Liberation War. Shuvosangho is regularly encouraging young people in positive activities, which will contribute to building society and the nation.”
