Bashundhara Shuvosangho organised a discussion session on health awareness for student participants at Jamalganj upazila, Sunamganj on Wednesday.

The session was held at the E-Commerce and Digital Computer Training Centre in the upazila.

Bashundhara Shuvosangho’s Jamalganj upazila unit President Md Shahin Alam presided over the session.

He urged the participating students to maintain personal hygiene, take healthy foods, avoid junk foods, and also to engage in sports activities to nurture a good physique and mind. He called for being alert against deadly, communicable and fast-spreading diseases like dengue.

Upazila unit Vice President Sanjiban Rai, also an assistant teacher at Murari Chand High School, expressed hopes that the session would have a lasting impact among students. The participating students responded saying they would follow health protocols and lead a healthy life from the next day.

The speakers at the event also included Bashundhara Shuvosangho’s Jamalganj upazila unit Vice President Bappi Barman, Vice President Irin Akter Ripa, Sports Secretary Md Moniruzzaman Monir, Women and Children Affairs Secretary Jannat Akter, Relief and Disaster Management Secretary Mohidul Islam, Joint General Secretary Md Robiul Awal Babu, and Assistant Office Secretary Kamran, among other members.

Rural physician Ripa Akter, journalist Tofazzal Islam, and Assistant Teacher of E-Commerce and Digital Computer Training Center Jenny Akter were also present.
