Brochures Promoting Environmental Cleanliness Distributed in Kuakata

The Kuakata municipal unit of Bashundhara Shuvosangho on Saturday afternoon distributed awareness leaflets among tourists at Kuakata beach. The campaign aimed to promote health, environmental protection, social responsibility and communal harmony.

As part of the planned initiative, volunteers handed out the leaflets to tourists near Kuakata’s Zero Point area.

Unit President Md Saidur Rahman, vice-president Kazi Saeed, general secretary Zahidul Islam, finance secretary Md Al Amin, executive member Ibrahim Wahid and Kuakata Tourist Police ASI Md Jasim joined the activity.

Executive member Ibrahim Wahid said such leaflets are rare but meaningful, adding that the messages would make people think and act more responsibly.

General Secretary Zahidul Islam noted that thousands of tourists visit the “Daughter of the Sea” every day with friends and family, often littering the beach with plastic and polythene waste. “Continuous awareness is essential to inspire responsibility,” he said.

President Md Saidur Rahman emphasised that they want Kuakata beach to remain clean, healthy and environmentally friendly. “Leaflet distribution is a short-term effort, but if the message creates a lasting impact, we will consider it a success,” he said.
