Labour minister hospitalised with chest pain

Labour and Employment Minister Ariful Haque Choudhury was admitted to a private hospital in Sylhet after experiencing severe chest pain on Friday.

He was admitted to the hospital in the Akhalia area of Sylhet city at around 1:15pm, according to his close associate Jurez Abdullah Gulzar.

Gulzar said the minister attended several development activities and programmes in Companyganj upazila of his electoral constituency, Sylhet-4, on Friday morning.

At around 11:45am, he suddenly developed severe chest pain and was taken to a hospital in Sylhet city.

Gulzar said doctors had declared the minister out of danger. However, he has been advised to remain in hospital and take complete rest considering his physical condition.
