Gas supply across the country will temporarily decline for four days due to emergency maintenance work at the Summit LNG Terminal in Maheshkhali, Cox’s Bazar.
Regasification operations at the terminal will remain suspended from 8am on 4 November until 4pm on 7 November, the Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla) said in a press release on Sunday.
During this period, daily gas supply to the national grid will drop to 600 million cubic feet from the current 920 million cubic feet, read the release.
As a result, consumers across the country may experience low gas pressure during this period.
Petrobangla expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to consumers, according to the release.
